### How much does a plumber in Wimbledon cost?
Our standard domestic plumbing, heating and gas rate is £99 + VAT per hour between 7:30am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. Evenings between 5:00pm and 9:00pm are £120 + VAT per hour, and overnight work between 9:00pm and 7:30am, along with Sundays and bank holidays, is £185 + VAT per hour. There is a one-hour minimum charge and time is then charged in 30-minute increments.

### Is there a separate call-out fee?
No. There is no separate call-out charge. You pay for the engineer's time from the one-hour minimum onwards, plus any materials supplied.

### What is the minimum charge?
There is a minimum charge of one hour at the applicable hourly rate, plus VAT and any materials used.

### How is time charged after the first hour?
After the first hour, labour is charged in 30-minute increments at the applicable rate. For example, a weekday repair completed in 1 hour and 30 minutes is charged as one full hour plus one 30-minute increment.

### Will I receive a quote before work starts?
Smaller repairs are normally carried out on our published hourly rates rather than a quotation. Where work is expected to take more than two hours, we will provide a quotation wherever reasonably possible. Fixed-price quotations may be given verbally or in writing before work begins.

### What happens if the job takes more than two hours?
Work expected to exceed two hours is quoted wherever reasonably possible. If the scope cannot be established before work begins, the engineer will explain the likely next steps and charges before continuing.

### Is VAT included in the displayed prices?
No. All prices shown on this website exclude VAT. VAT is added to the invoice at the prevailing rate.

### Do you add a mark-up to materials?
Yes. All materials and parts supplied are subject to a 20% mark-up. Time spent collecting materials is charged at the applicable hourly rate, capped at one hour per trade.

### Can I supply my own parts?
You can, but customer-supplied materials are not covered by our workmanship or product warranty. The engineer will explain any limitations before fitting them.

### Which cards do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard and other major credit and debit cards. Payment in full is required when the invoice is issued.

### Do you accept American Express?
No. We accept all major credit and debit cards excluding American Express.

### Can I pay using Apple Pay?
Yes, Apple Pay is accepted alongside major credit and debit cards.

### Can you attend on the same day?
Same-day appointments may be available, but they are not guaranteed. Availability depends on the nature of the fault, engineer location and current workload.

### Does submitting the form confirm my booking?
No. Submitting the form is an appointment request. It does not create a confirmed booking until our team has contacted you to agree a time.

### Are your engineers Gas Safe registered?
Gas appliances and boilers are attended by appropriately qualified Gas Safe registered engineers working through WDI Group (Surrey) Ltd.

### Do you repair boilers?
Yes. We diagnose and repair domestic boiler faults, including fault codes, pressure loss, ignition problems and no-heat or no-hot-water complaints. Occasionally a specialist part must be ordered, which may require a return visit.

### Can you service my boiler?
Yes. An annual boiler service is £99 + VAT on weekdays between 7:30am and 5:00pm, covering up to two appliances, with each additional appliance charged at £40 + VAT.

### Do you issue Landlord Gas Safety Certificates?
Yes. A Gas Safety Certificate is £99 + VAT on weekdays between 7:30am and 5:00pm for up to two appliances. A combined boiler service and Gas Safety Certificate is £160 + VAT on weekdays.

### Can you repair a leaking radiator?
In many cases yes — leaks from valves, unions or spindles can often be resolved on the visit. Where the radiator body itself has corroded, replacement is usually the sensible option and we will explain the cost before proceeding.

### What should I do during a major water leak?
If water is escaping rapidly and it is safe to do so, turn off the internal stopcock. If water is affecting electrical fittings, avoid touching the affected area and isolate the electricity only if it is safe. If you smell gas, turn off the gas supply if safe, open doors and windows, avoid electrical switches and contact the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999.
