How much does a plumber in Wimbledon cost?

Our standard domestic plumbing, heating and gas rate is £99 + VAT per hour between 7:30am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. Evenings between 5:00pm and 9:00pm are £120 + VAT per hour, and overnight work between 9:00pm and 7:30am, along with Sundays and bank holidays, is £185 + VAT per hour. There is a one-hour minimum charge and time is then charged in 30-minute increments.

Work expected to exceed two hours is quoted wherever reasonably possible. If the scope cannot be established before work begins, the engineer will explain the likely next steps and charges before continuing.

Gas appliances and boilers are attended by appropriately qualified Gas Safe registered engineers working through WDI Group (Surrey) Ltd.

Yes. We diagnose and repair domestic boiler faults, including fault codes, pressure loss, ignition problems and no-heat or no-hot-water complaints. Occasionally a specialist part must be ordered, which may require a return visit.

Can you repair a leaking radiator?

In many cases yes — leaks from valves, unions or spindles can often be resolved on the visit. Where the radiator body itself has corroded, replacement is usually the sensible option and we will explain the cost before proceeding.

What should I do during a major water leak?

Accepted Answer

If water is escaping rapidly and it is safe to do so, turn off the internal stopcock. If water is affecting electrical fittings, avoid touching the affected area and isolate the electricity only if it is safe. If you smell gas, turn off the gas supply if safe, open doors and windows, avoid electrical switches and contact the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999.
