Boiler Servicing in Wimbledon
An annual boiler service is one of the simplest ways to keep an eye on the condition of your boiler and pick up on any developing issues before they lead to a breakdown. We arrange boiler servicing appointments across Wimbledon and the surrounding areas, carried out by appropriately qualified Gas Safe registered engineers.
A service is a planned check of the boiler's key components and safety, rather than a repair, though the engineer will let you know if anything is found that needs further attention.

Symptoms you may notice
- It has been over a year since the boiler was last serviced
- The boiler is due for servicing under its manufacturer's warranty
- You have recently moved into a property and are unsure of the service history
- The boiler is used heavily, such as in a larger household
- You have noticed minor changes in noise or performance
- You are a landlord needing to arrange annual servicing for a rental property
- The boiler has not been serviced since installation
- You would simply like reassurance the boiler is running safely and efficiently
Likely causes
- Manufacturers generally recommend annual servicing to maintain warranty cover
- Components such as seals and burners naturally wear over time
- Dust, debris or limescale can build up within the boiler over a year of use
- Combustion efficiency can gradually change without regular checks
- Ventilation and flue components benefit from periodic checking
- Landlords are required to arrange an annual gas safety check for rental properties
What the engineer may inspect
- The boiler casing and general condition
- Gas pressure and burner operation
- The heat exchanger and combustion performance
- Safety devices and controls
- The flue and ventilation, checking for correct operation
- Condensate pipe and drainage where applicable
- System pressure and any visible leaks
- Overall function against the manufacturer's guidelines
What happens during a service
The Gas Safe registered engineer will carry out a series of checks in line with the manufacturer's service guidelines for your specific boiler, covering safety, performance and general condition. This is a good opportunity to mention any changes you have noticed, even minor ones.
Combining a service with a Gas Safety Certificate
If you also need a Landlord Gas Safety Certificate, this can be combined with a boiler service in the same appointment, which is often more convenient and cost-effective than booking separately. See our combined pricing below.
Multiple appliances
A standard service or certificate covers up to two appliances. If your property has additional gas appliances, such as a separate gas fire or cooker, these can be included in the same visit for an additional charge per appliance.
If a fault is found
Should the engineer identify a fault or a part nearing the end of its life during the service, they will explain this to you clearly, along with any recommended next steps, before carrying out any further work.
What this service costs
A boiler service or Gas Safety Certificate on its own is £99 + VAT on weekdays, £120 + VAT on weekday evenings, and £185 + VAT on Sundays and bank holidays. This covers up to two appliances, with each additional appliance charged at £40 + VAT.
A combined boiler service and Gas Safety Certificate is £160 + VAT on weekdays, £190 + VAT on weekday evenings, and £185 + VAT on Sundays and bank holidays.
All prices exclude VAT, and there is no separate call-out charge. Where a fault is found requiring repair, this would be charged separately at our standard hourly rates.
Full details are on our rates page, and booking is explained step by step on our process page.
